Blower Gremlins

Flame Throwing Blower Gremlin is used to illustrate the effects of heat on a positive displacement blower. The Nuts and Bolts Throwing Gremlin illustrates the need to prevent ingestion of foreign material into a positive displacement rotary lobe blower due to the very close clearances. The only good Blower Gremlin is a dead Blower Gremlin. That should be our ultimate goal to prevent the failure of your positive displacement blower.
The Sneaking Blower Gremlin represents those problems that you must be wary of and they usually sneak up on you to cause a much larger problem. I'd cover my ears too if my blower is properly silenced! You can't turn your back on noise problems!
You can't walk away from a noise problem either! The neighbors will let you know. Positive displacement rotary lobe blowers can be very loud. Depending on the horsepower and speed, they can easily exceed 110 dBA at 3' if not properly silenced. Don't let noise bring you to your knees. This Blower Gremlin is yelling in pain due to noise.

Blower Gremlins



Blower Gremlins are the creation of Tom Hodek, Purdue Class of 1982. The Blower Gremlins were created to help illustrate common blower problems and to have some fun!
