Description
A client approached us with a need to design an entire breathing air system product line that is typically used in hospitals. The customer supplied the control panel and the compressor, while we were tasked to provide system integration and the rest of the components.These system came in a wide variety of sizes and configurations.
We had to design the equipment to comply with the requirements of NFPA 99 (Standard for Health Care Facilities) as well as be able to breakdown the equipment into modules to allow for transport through a 36" wide door.
The first working package was provided approximately three months from the launch of the program.
REP provided development services to test the design and make sure that all components were operated within manufacturers limits. Extensive testing was done on cooling systems for the compressors as well as vibration dampening for each module.
Standards and practices were implemented to meet the requirements of NFPA 99.
