Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Gainesville, GA

Salary: $18.00-$20.00/hour (pay rate based on experience)

Job Description:  Qualified candidate will perform clerical and physical tasks related to shipping goods and/or receiving incoming goods.  Must follow established processes while performing daily, routine tasks.  Will receive specific guidance from supervisor when handling unusual or non-routine tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of shipping dashboard for outgoing shipments
  • Ensure customer orders are processed daily
  • Ensure products are properly identified and accurately pulled from inventory for shipment
  • Follow standard operating procedures on how products are prepared & packed for shipment
  • Schedule UPS (small parcel) and LTL (freight) shipments using carrier portals or websites
  • Prepare & print shipping labels, bill of lading, packing slips or other required paperwork for outgoing shipments
  • Ensure paperwork is complete, organized and submitted to accounting daily
  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Ensure incoming shipment matches packing slip & purchase order
  • Label incoming part(s) with correct part number or serial number
  • Physically place incoming parts in the appropriate stock location
  • Load & unload trucks (freight, flatbed, trailers, courier, etc.)
  • Assist with weekly inventory cycle counts and annual inventory

Job Qualifications & Skills:

  • College or high school diploma required (minimum requirement GED)
  • 3+ years experience in Shipping & Receiving preferred
  • Epicor, SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google (Gmail, docs, sheets)
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work area daily
  • Must be able to use small tools such as tape dispenser, strapping & banding, heat gun, drill, air hose, etc.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) with proper certification
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.


  • Full Time
  • Shift-8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday
  • Pay Range-$18.00-$20.00/hour (pay rate based on experience)
