For almost thirty years pdblowers has been known for our custom equipment enclosures. Designed and fabricated in our 50,000 square foot facility, each enclosure is engineered to meet the specific challenges of your application.
Transformer Enclosure Design
For several of our long time customers, we design and build enclosures for high voltage transformers used in the remediation market. These systems are housed in heavy duty custom containers, similar to ISO shipping containers, that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the transformer system.
We can build with a variety of materials—like carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum—using bolts, riveting, and/or welding. Any type of access panels and doors can be configured for your system, and different types of liners can be added for noise and temperature insulation. Your enclosure is designed around your needs.
Built from the ground up, this 40 foot custom container houses a dry type transformer system. Access hatches in the roof allow our customer to drop in transformers from above for easy installation and maintenance of the components.
This PCU (power control unit) system has high voltage transformers to power electrodes that heat the groundwater for remediation. The heavy duty container was built from the ground up and is shown here after being painted in our 60’ drive through paint booth.
This project started with a standard 40’ ISO shipping container that was then highly modified to house a dry type transformer system. Doors and access ports were added around the container, with several large access doors along one side for the transformer system to be installed and maintained. One end of the container was partitioned off to house the control systems.
If you are looking for a transformer enclosure supplier, you have come to the right place. Our engineering team would love to discuss your system and how we can build an enclosure that meets your needs.
