pdblowers offers Kunkle relief valves for positive mechanical protection of your positive displacement blower. The two series that are most used for blower protection is the 337 for pressure systems and the 215V for vacuum systems.
The Kunkle relief valves are available in 2″, 2.5″ and 3″ NPT port sizes. The 337 has a male pipe thread (MPT) that connects to the discharge side of the system. The 215V has a female pipe thread (FPT) that connects to the inlet of the system. Even though the 337 and 215V look very similar, they are not interchangeable. The most visible distinction is the pull ring or bar on the top of a 337. This pull device allows the user to verify that the valve is relieving. The 215V does not have a pull device, but instead has a solid top.
