MaxQ 2.5″ Spring-Loaded Blower Vacuum Relief Valves

Spring relief valves are the most common option for protecting blower and vacuum pump systems due to their ease of use. MaxQ vacuum spring relief valves from pdblowers are made in the USA at our Gainesville, GA production facility.  We use high quality American materials that provide corrosion resistance and wear protection and meet all Build America Buy America requirements.

The valve nozzle, bonnet and internal components are constructed of stainless steel.  The valve body is machined from 1018 carbon steel and then protected with a thin-film ceramic polymer hybrid coating that provides unmatched durability, hardness, and resistance to corrosion, abrasion, heat and chemicals.  The internal gasket is Teflon.

Valves are factory set between 2″ Hgg and 15″ Hgg.

OPERATION: Inside the body a spring pushes on the disc preventing air (or gas) from escaping as long as it operates below the set vacuum level. If the vacuum suction exceeds the force of the spring, the disc will rise allowing the air to escape until the vacuum returns below the limit.

INSTALLATION: For vacuum service, the valve should be attached to the vacuum line via the FPT connection on the side of the valve. Prepare the male connection of the vacuum line by applying a thread, such as pipe dope or Teflon tape. Do not put thread sealant on the first thread to prevent sealant from entering the valve. Thread the valve onto the pipe fitting, using a pipe wrench if needed. Do not overtighten.

MAINTENANCE: No regular maintenance is required. Should a buildup of process material occur, the valve can be disassembled for cleaning by removing the six screws from the top.
