Shannon George has been an indispensable part of the pdblowers team since 2015. While Jim jokes that she handles the tasks he doesn’t want to do, Shannon’s responsibilities are extensive and crucial to the company’s operations. She manages risk and insurance, employee benefits, the 401(k) plan, human resources, payroll, credit evaluations, event planning, facilities maintenance, and the oversight of remote offices and distribution facilities.
Shannon’s role significantly impacts both customers and suppliers by ensuring the company employs personnel dedicated to exceptional customer service. She never hesitates to jump in and interact directly with stakeholders when the need arises, whether she is solving logistics challenges with our vendors or even hopping in a forklift to load an after-hours rush order for a customer in need.
Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Shannon chose the University of Georgia to avoid being a “Gator” and graduated with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance. Her career has taken her across the country, from Universal Studios in California to various insurance firms in New Mexico, Florida, and Georgia.
Shannon loves the variety her job offers and the chance to develop her entrepreneurial skills. Outside of work, she is actively involved in the local business community, serving as a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s HR Council and the advisory council for the Hall County school system’s work-based learning program. She also enjoys boating on Lake Lanier with her family.
