At industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants, aeration blowers are a critical component of the treatment process.  Aerobic biodegradation is the natural process where bacteria use oxygen to break down organic materials in the sewage.  Providing oxygen to these organisms stimulates their activity and growth, so aeration blowers are used to increase the oxygen content in the wastewater.
