Product Description

In addition to designing and building enclosures and containers from the ground up, pdblowers can also modify shipping containers to reduce the footprint or meet other specific needs. We have a fully equipped fabrication shop capable of modifying your ISO container, whether that is reducing the length, adding special insulation, painting with special finishes, or preparing it to house your special equipment.

Size
Standard ISO shipping containers can be modified to reduce the length to fit within a specific footprint. Our facility is well equipped to modify 40′ shipping containers, with multiple bridge cranes and a 60′ drive through paint booth.

Insulation
Different types of insulation can be added to your modified shipping container to reduce heat transfer or reduce equipment noise. Common insulation options for modified containers include Rockwool with an OSB liner, foam, recycled carpet pads, foam with quilted mylar scrim surface, insulated panels, and fiberglass insulation with OSB wall. A perforated liner is also available to protect personnel from coming into contact with the insulation and minimize damage; a liner is recommended when the container will be opened for maintenance on a regular basis.

Ventilation
Air is typically introduced into the container on the sides or ends. Ventilation air must be used to eliminate overheating of a blower package or other equipment. Please specify the expected heat load of your equipment and we can offer solutions to best suit your needs.
