Programming for Integration
Many control panel shops assemble to specification without programming services. Our engineers can build a basic interface using relay logic and push button controls, or enable more functional control using a PLC (programmable logic controller) and HMI (human machine interface) technology. These provide operational advantages like real-time feedback, customizable alarms, better security and remote access.
For seamless integration, your control panel can also be programmed to integrate with existing systems. Instead of modifying machinery to accept a new input, your pdblowers control can convert data before generating output. We have experience converting between protocols including Modbus, Ethernet IP, as well as older information systems using ASCII or serial data.
Remote Monitoring
Connect to your site remotely as if you were there. The remote monitoring systems we design do not require special software; they use cellular or wi-fi communication to deliver text, email information, and web based HMI control. Whether your system uses blower-related equipment or something entirely different, our remote monitoring capability may be an ideal solution. Our systems have many advantages over auto-dialer systems, with more access to custom alarms, in locations without phone lines.
Energy Savings with VFD
Some systems benefit from the addition of a VFD (variable frequency drive) to allow variable speed of equipment to meet variable operating conditions and optimize performance. Energy cost savings can quickly recoup initial VFD cost. The VFD handles variable and constant torque. We have experience implementing these at low or medium voltage and specialize in horsepower from 0 to 800.
Testing, Support, and Retrofit
We test every control panel element in order to deliver a turnkey system and eliminate potential problems in the field.
Our testing routines verify logic and simulate all inputs and outputs at our facility. For CSA/CUL panels, we are equipped for high voltage testing. We can also install and demonstrate onsite after shipping to you.
Every UL control panel and remote monitoring system includes an operating manual with schematics. If you need additional support, our experienced team is here for you. The typical control panel manufacturer or system integrator often charges extra fees when multiple changes are required. We prefer that our customers benefit from a system that completely meets their needs. We will work closely with you to develop the control panel that works best for you.
We understand that some systems only need small changes. Our team offers onsite consulting for your existing control systems. One of our electrical engineers can inspect your system for code violations according to the latest NEC and UL codebooks, then recommend next steps to bring it up to code. We can also consult to provide process optimization: to maximize your output and help you consider VFD (variable frequency drive) to lower energy costs.
